Nutrition Meeting this Saturday!

Your food choices each day affect your health — how you feel today, tomorrow, and in the future. Regular exercise and the consumption of a healthy diet can lead to a host of benefits, including increased energy, happiness, health and even a long life. Exercise and diet are pivotal to determining a person’s overall health, and making them both part of your lifestyle can make a dramatic difference in how you look and feel.

Good nutrition is an important part of leading a healthy lifestyle. Combined with physical activity, your diet can help you to reach and maintain a healthy weight, reduce your risk of chronic diseases (like heart disease and cancer), and promote your overall health.

Many people begin an exercise regimen expecting to lose weight, only to find they remain the same or even gain a few pounds.  This is often because they aren’t paying attention to the nutrition side of the equation. They fall into the mentality of “I can eat this because I will burn it off later”.  Other people do try to “diet,” but end up increasing their cravings and slowing their metabolism because they are restricting calories.

We are excited to announce that in February we will be expanding our listing of services to include a monthly nutrition get together led by our newest team member, Jen Minnich at Sweetgrass Food Co.

Jen is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner and certified Yoga instructor. Her passion for nutrition, wellness and movement make her the perfect addition to our team and we look forward to all the knowledge she'll be sharing with us in these monthly meetings.

Our first Kegels and Kale will be on Saturday, Feb. 11th from 10am-11am in the upper mezzanine of Sweetgrass Food Co. so that you can grab a delicious healthy snack or coffee to enjoy while we discuss topics related to GI health, holistic nutrition and optimal wellness. This event is free for our members and $20 for non-members.  You won’t believe the difference that good nutrition habits can have on your life.

Space is limited to 10 people so be sure to sign up early!

To reserve your spot, sign up through our mindbody online website.
