Jessica Notman - Owner
STOTT Pilates Instructor, Franklin Method Educator, NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist | Teaching Since 2006
MS in Human Performance (In Progress)
Jessica Notman was first exposed to Pilates in 2005 as a way to help her manage her chronic injuries from racing Olympic distance triathlons. She enrolled in a STOTT Pilates teacher training and has been teaching since 2006.
She finds Pilates to be the perfect blend of focus on form and control. Jessica finds that even though Pilates is a fitness modality, it’s the best form of exercise for overall well-being.
With the extensive experience that comes with teaching Pilates for 18+ years, Jessica is passionate about instructing individuals with complex health histories and injuries.
Jessica also has a soft-spot for working with athletes and working with individuals to reach their unique physical bucket list items.
In sessions with Jessica, clients experience an aspect of education about how the body works before performing exercises. In her experience, the more clients can visualize it in their head, the more likely they are to do it correctly. She does this by incorporating 3D anatomy apps and props. Additionally, she’s trained in Franklin Method and layers this into sessions.
Working 1 on 1 together is a rare chance to take a break from what you are doing and focus on yourself. Why not have a good time?
In addition to being a self-proclaimed “anatomy nerd”, she’s outdoors rain or shine and can frequently be found at Seattle’s Monorail Espresso with her dogs listening to Pearl Jam (which she refuses to classify as classic rock). Jessica is also a licensed Real Estate Agent with Windemere and has supported clients in growing both in and outside the studio.
