Psoas: Beyond the Abdominals

This workshop focuses on the functions of the psoas major, minor and iliacus muscles. Join us to learn how our innermost core muscles stabilize, support and lengthen.

In this workshop, we dive deeper into the joints of the shoulder with a holistic approach that puts an emphasis on our breathing and alignment, as two key areas that contribute to shoulder health.
Learn imagery and simple exercises that melt away shoulder and neck tension.
Release holding patterns in the upper body
Learn how to melt away tension and associated mental anxiety.
Learn the experiential anatomy of the shoulder girdle and benefit from an increased awareness of the function and interaction of joints and muscles.

About Eric Franklin
Eric Franklin is the award-winning founder and director of the Franklin Method. He created the Method over 25 years ago, first teaching in Switzerland, Germany and Austria, eventually making its way across the world to dozens of countries. Mr. Franklin teaches at universities and schools internationally, including Juilliard School in New York, Rutgers University, the University of Vienna, the Royal Ballet School and the Laban Center in London. He has taught Beyonce and Celine Dion’s world tour dance companies. In 1998, he introduced the first dance conditioning methodology to mainland China.
